The Alps and the Jura are a fantastic playground for all rowers. With the three great alpine lakes Annecy, Le Bourget and Léman (aka lake Geneva) on the programme, you are being spoiled.

The tour starts and ends in Geneva which benefits from numerous international air links as well of a high speed rail link from Paris.

Saturday: Hotel check-in near Geneva

Sunday: Rowing on Lac de Divonne. Visit to Voltaire's chateau in Ferney. Drive to Aix-les-Bains. Night in Aix

Monday: Rowing on Lac du Bourget. Night in Aix.

Tuesday: Drive to Annecy. Rowing on the Annecy Lake. Old Annecy city tour. Night in Annecy

Wednesday: Drive to Lausanne. Visit to the Olympic Museum. Rowing from Lausanne along the Lavaux vineyards, a UNESCO heritage site. Night near Vevey

Thursday: Visit to the "Chaplin's world" museum. Drive to Mabuisson. Rowing on Lac Saint-Point. Night in Malbuisson

Friday: Visit to a "fruitière" (traditional Jura cheese making factory). Drive to Lausanne. Rowing on the Léman. Night near Geneva

Saturday: Hotel check-out

Boats used: touring quads (aka yolettes, C-Vierer)

Daily rowing distance: average 21 km, maximum 30 km
