Charente 7 days, 7 nights, 16-23 May 2026
1990 € all inclusive
Charente, one the suniest french regions is famous for its beaches, islands and glorious maritime past, with La Rochelle and Rochefort. On the mainland side, it is blessed by the gods, with Gallo-Roman remains in Saintes and with Cognac. It is crossed by the eponym river.
During our tour, we will explore both sides, rowing on the river Charente in Saintes and in Cognac as well as in La Rochelle and from the Oléron island on coastal boats.
On the first day, you will discover the river Marne in our home base in Le Perreux before reaching our destination. Our return trip will include a stop in Angers where you will row on the beautiful Maine.
We will spend 5 nights, from Sunday to Friday, in the Charente area in a large house or chateau, with a bathroom for each sleeping room.
