Charente Poitou 6 days, 7 nights, date TBD

1900 - 2100 € all inclusive (preliminary price indication)

We will meet in our home base in Le Perreux on sunday morning for a first rowing session on the Marne before driving to Blois to visit the château.

In Châtellerault, near Poitiers, we'll discover from our shells the beautiful river Vienne before reaching Cognac.

A visit to the Hennessy distillery and cellars is a must as is the rowing trip on the Charente that flows to the gallo-roman city of Saintes and to the royal arsenal of Rochefort.

After visiting the very old port of La Rochelle we will embark for a coastal rowing session.

Our next destinations will be Angers to row on the Maine and to Le Mans for a visit to the racing circuit and museum.

On our return journey to Le Perreux we will stop at Chartres. Its cathedral has the largest and best preserved collection of medieval stained glass windows in the world.
